ULC stands for Universal Life Church. This Church has a very simple creed.
The church has two tenets. First is the absolute right of freedom of religion, and second, that a person should do that which
is right by his own estimation, provided only that laws are not broken as a result.
I am The Reverend Patricia Krenik, having been recently ordained by the Universal Life Church. This is not the first time that I have had a Minister's Certificate. I have had many, many years experience as a Spiritual Counselor. Let me tell you why I joined this Church--then let me tell you how you can help yourself and others by becoming a member of our local chapter, which we call the Revitalizing Ministry. You need not live in our town to become a member of our group. The internet has changed many things.
I believe strongly in the First Amendment Rights, the Freedom of Religion and the Freedom of Speech. The last Church of which I was a member claimed to believe in the First Amendment, but in practice did not permit free speech. That was the point where I left that Church. Searching out spiritual freedom has been a strong purpose in my life, and for a long time I was without a Church because I wasn't allowed to practice that religion and call it that, unless I was a member of that Church.
I have always pictured an ideal scene, a world without criminality and war, and without poverty. Where people could live together creatively and in harmony. I believe this Universal Life Church to be a powerful aid in bringing about a better civilization because it completely accepts any person's right to worship as he chooses and each person who joins agrees to do what is "right" according to his own best beliefs, so long as those "right" beliefs stay within the boundary of the law. Can you imagine what could happen if the millions of people now belonging to this Universal Life Church became billions? If each person who became a member then inspected his own beliefs of right and wrong, and made sure his own beliefs allowed the full scope of the First Amendment Rights? How many wars would stop? How many families would do better in their own lives?
The Universal Life Church will ordain you, free, on the internet, if you wish to become a Reverend and actively start a congregation. If you want to do that, click on the banner on the top of this page. However, many people do not want that particular responsibility, but would like to support and be part of a group that is actively working to improve conditions in the world as well as locally. You do not have to give up your membership in another Church to become part of our support group. Our membership is free. We will send you a Certificate of General Membership of our Chapter. Donations are, of course, appreciated, including stamps, but are not required.
For your Certificate of General Membership to the Elma Chapter of the Universal Life Church, named the Revitalizing Ministry, please request said membership by writing to: The Rev. Patricia Krenik POB 1757, Elma, WA 98541, or by e-mailing p_krenik@hotmail.com and placing the word membership on the subject line.
